I am totally and completely done with school until September after my last two exams on Friday! It's getting very hard for me to keep myself focused on studying, but it's only two more days - I can plow through it!
I have my usual summer goals of reading lots of frivolous books, writing a decent amount, and creating some artwork! This summer, though, I want to teach myself how to paint digitally. I've always been a bit intimidated by working on the computer because, let's face it, learning how to use a program well takes a much greater attention span than doodling with a pen! I love the idea of prints, no mess and :gasp: an UNDO button, so I stepping out of my comfort zone and giving photoshop an honest try. I'm starting with VERY simple subjects so I can get the hang of things first - I only JUST learned how the FLOW tool works! lol
Anyway, if anyone can give me tips or pointers to good tutorials, it would be greatly appreciated! Until then, I'm just going to experiment and hope for the best! I'm thinking of offering a digital doodle for my 10,000 page views, but I'm not sure if I'll be working well enough by then!
My other goal for the summer is to start an actual SERIOUS photoblog - the theme of which will be cute things, of course! - focused on the non-illustrative things I do, like cooking, growing plants, and collecting and making toys. ^^ That might be too many things to put into one blog, but it's highly unlikely that I could keep up with more than one blog at a time!

I now need to go study. I'll talk to you all later, when I'm done with finals and my head is clear.
